Bailing out (of the Republican Party)

You can find the horrifying details and breakdown of the bail out here. The House Republicans who briefly seemed to have learned a lesson or two, only held out for 150 billion dollars in pork.

John McCain has stated over and over:

The first pork-barrel bill that crosses my desk, I’m going to veto it and make the authors of those pork-barrel items famous all over America.

John McCain voted for this pork filled bill. John McCain, will no longer receive my vote. Moreover, I am unsure if I will ever vote for another Republican again. Why am I not afraid of Barack Obama? Looking at the past 8 years I have to say Republican President George Bush is the second most liberal President in our history - behind only Franklin Roosevelt. I don’t think Barack Obama can possibly out liberal the Republicans.

This election season I’m welcoming myself back to the Libertarian Party. I encourage everyone to do the same, and PLEASE send McCain, Palin, your Representative, and Senators a letter letting them know the bail out and a history of liberal policy is the reason why. 1. I have phoned and phoned…I also encourage others to do the same. It truly is not threatening - staffers are always pleasant. Mom

  2. You’re too smart of the Republicans! They need someone who truly understands the system like you do!:)

  3. Yeah. GWB has talked a good game. He generally sounds like a conservative (at least socially), but has certainly spent like a liberal. That will be a major component of his legacy in my opinion.

With your knowledge of history, you might have a good handle on all the exact details, but I would not leave LBJ off the list of the hyper-liberals that our nation has had to endure in the oval office. His “Great Society” really added to FDR’s New Deal socialist agenda and many of the welfare-state programs we have today were given birth under LBJ, if I am not mistaken.

  4. I’m thinking of casting my vote for Julius Caesar. The name has a nice ring to it. I can’t seem to find any listing for his Washington office though. E tu Brute!
