Who Will Speak for Liberty?
Mike Tanner of the Cato Institute discusses big government conservatives.
Quoting Bush:
“Government should help people improve their lives”
“We’ve had enough of the stale debate between big government and indifferent government. Government must be active enough to fund services for the poor.”
Bush’s chief of staff stated that Bush “sees America like a 10 year old child”
Tanner’s ending is appropriate. Given the choice between Liberals who want to increase the size and expense of government and Big Government Conservatives who want to increase the size and expense of government… who will speak for liberty?
